Join Regeneration Dublin, TCD Environmental Society & Good Summit in getting involved in Dublin withNature2021.

About this event

On 22nd May 2021, World Biodiversity Day, help create one in a network of giant images, scattered across locations around the world, by providing clothing for this ‘tapestry of species'.
Conceived by British Artist Emma Thomas, the plan is for local communities to construct an image of their chosen endangered species to be captured from above. The original idea was to create a mosaic using the participants themselves however, due to Covid, we are now asking for your clothing instead.
Regeneration Dublin, partnering with The Good Summit and Trinity Environmental Society, have been asked to host Ireland's WithNature Event. We have chosen to represent the Curlew, a charismatic bird threatened by extinction in Ireland as a result of poor environmental management.
We need people to help create this artwork by lending pieces of clothing of specific colours with which we can display the Curlew.
The event is being hosted in over 30 different places around the world. It will be streamed live on Youtube, before being developed as a documentary by the BBC World Service. The WithNature team will use such a public demonstration to appeal to the UN – who have once more postponed COP15 – to enact stronger policy on biodiversity protection.
