Tin Men and the Telephone

This event has ended

Online, Monday 5th April

Children aged 8+ will love this fun online show mixing music, technology, visuals and audience participation for an interactive concert that you can influence directly from your living room!

Tin Men and The Telephone are an Amsterdam-based music trio who perform hugely engaging and enormously fun interactive online shows. Their music blends jazz, classical, Balkan, hip hop and more through exciting improvisation which you, the audience, can influence during the concert by swiping, texting and shaking your phones at home.

How? With the band's custom-made smartphone app, Tinmendo. Using the app, children can discover the building blocks of music to create melodies, rhythms and harmonies that are uploaded live and assembled into a collective composition, performed on the spot by the band. These elements create concerts that are a one-of-a-kind multimedia experience where you steal the show!

This promises to be a surprising, entertaining show that's fun for both children and grown-ups alike. Every performance is a unique interactive experience that encourages listening skills and develops musical sensibilities through outstanding music and fantastic technology-based fun.

This is one show where you won’t be asked to turn off your phone! You will need to download the Tinmendo app on your phone before attending the show here.

This show has been programmed with the approval of the children on the BIG BANG Dublin Festival Ambassadors team!
