The Infinite Library

This event has ended

Goethe-Institut, Saturday 23rd July - Friday 29th July

‘The Infinite Library’ is a new travelling installation that invites visitors to explore the future of libraries as interactive spaces that offer multisensory forms of storytelling. Using VR, holograms, 3D-printed objects, a QR code game and a series of audio-visual works, the Infinite Library seeks to share human stories, embedded within the narrative of the birth of our planet and the evolution of all life forms. Visitors can try different VR experiences to enter multiple realms, including the installation’s centre piece, which takes place in the visually striking ‘Main Cavern’. Here, visitors can avail of Oculus Quest 2 headsets to discover cosmic pools that highlight eight different stories about our planet’s evolution, beginning with its origin. Come along and experience The Infinite Library, be part of the narrative and share your participation on social media.
