Irish National Opera: The Abduction from the Seraglio – WA Mozart. Sung in German with English subtitles.

People trafficking across the seas is nothing new and sex has long been part of its matrix. Mozart's The Abduction from the Seraglio deals with conflicts between nationalities and cultures with the lightest and most sophisticated of touches. The beautiful, exotically colourful score includes some of his most brilliant, and extremely virtuosic arias.
