TCD Chemistry Outreach Symposium 2020 – Trinity College Dublin Postgrad Chemistry Outreach symposium is an opportunity for module participants to showcase their projects.

The TCD Chemistry Postgrad Outreach module has grown immensely over the past 5 years. The course provides valuable training for scientific researchers in communication, presentation and education skills. The module runs throughout the academic year and consists of internal and external lectures, varied work experiences and group projects. In particular the students work in teams to develop new outreach content and stories for their projects each year, tackling some of the big issues and misconceptions faced by modern society. Module participants develop their projects with evidence-based education and public engagement design processes in mind, ensuring all proposed activities are appropriate for their target audience. Students also gain huge insights into how their content is received by students and teachers, in addition to running evaluations.

The 2020 symposium will take place over Zoom. The link will be sent to registered attendees the day before the event.
