Talks at the Mess is a series of talks at Richmond Barracks, Inchicore that celebrate the rich stories and experiences of the local community, past and present.
Inchicore has a long and rich footballing tradition. Within this talk, Conor Curran will explore the history of soccer in Dublin and the game’s role within society taking us from the late 1800s to the early twenty-first century.
Conor Curran is an adjunct lecturer in the School of Education, TCD, who has published extensively on the history of sport and society.
