Dublin City Council is delighted to present Pedalpalooza at Fairview Park, Sunday May 12 from 12pm until 4pm as part of National Bike Week.

A FREE day of family fun for cycling lovers of all ages, jam-packed from start to finish with great music, bike-related arts & crafts, exciting demonstrations and, of course, the return of the Pedalpalooza Cycle Parade with the Lord Mayor Daithí de Róiste for cyclists of all ages and abilities from Capel Street to Fairview Park

Pedalpalooza, organised by Dublin City Council and funded by the Department of Transport, seeks to demonstrate the various ways cycling can be integrated into everyday life and to promote a more sustainable urban mobility culture. Participants will learn about the benefits of cycling and how sustainable modes of transport can have a positive impact on our health, our bank balance and our environment. . ‘In keeping with this theme, Dublin City Council is encouraging all Pedalpalooza attendees to walk, cycle or use public transport to get to the event, where possible. Free bike parking is available at the park.’

Check out the main stage throughout the day for an entertaining mix of Irish music, magic and comedy for all ages, with performances from Magic Marta, Frankie Magilligan and Clontarf Ukelele to name but a few. Stop by the Dublin Bay Cycling Centre Obstacle Course to test your skills and the Dino Jeffers – an Irish representative at the World Championships last year – BMX performance display to test your skills and do make sure to bring your own bikes along and join in the fun at the Craft Corner where you can Bling Your Bike or try out the Bike Tattoo station to customise your wheels!
