Dublin City Council's ‘Summer in Dublin’ proudly returns with a vibrant series of FREE events in the city centre on summer weekends this July and August.

Prepare to experience colour, creativity and family fun in the heart of the capital as Dublin's streets transform into a playground for all ages.

Attendees can expect to explore magical worlds, meet larger-than-life characters and enjoy moments of surprise around every corner. From street performances and interactive shows to themed activities and creative workshops, each weekend promises a new adventure in the heart of the city.


BLOSSOMS & BEES | 4 & 5 July, Parliament Street.

A fun-filled family day out celebrating bees and nature! Buzz along to enjoy talks from bee experts, hands-on plant-and-grow activities, face painting, and interactive games. Discover how bees support our environment and learn simple ways to support local wildlife.

CIRCUS IN THE CITY | 11 & 12 July, Parliament Street.

Step right up for a spectacular day of circus-themed fun in the heart of the city. Enjoy interactive games, colourful face painting and exciting surprises. A perfect chance for families to create lasting memories.

ALICE IN THE CITY | 18 & 19 July, Parliament Street.

Step into a magical world inspired by Alice’s adventures. Enjoy themed games, interactive activities, face painting and curious surprises around every corner. An enchanting experience for families to explore imagination and creativity together.

HEARTS & CRAFTS | 25 & 26 July, Parliament Street.

Celebrate creativity with hands-on art activities, including bracelet-making, badge-making, and art classes. Explore interactive installations from emerging Dublin artists and take home your own creations. An inspiring event for families to express themselves.

MAD HATTER's TEA PARTY | 31 July – 2 August, Wolfe Tone Park.
Serving a delightful menu over three sunshine-filled day, indulge in some live entertainment, children’s face painting and a few sweet surprises for all the family to enjoy from 1pm to 4pm each day!

WELLNESS WORLD | 1 & 2 August, Parliament Street.

A dynamic day of movement and wellbeing for all ages and abilities. Enjoy accessible activities from dance to yoga, plus interactive demonstrations with expert guides. A fun and inclusive way to get active and try something new together.

PLAYTIME ON PARLIAMENT STREET | 8 & 9 August, Parliament Street.

A joyful celebration of play for all ages. Take part in giant street games, creative building activities and a dedicated family zone for younger visitors. Expect plenty of energy, laughter, and opportunities for everyone to join in.

STORYTELLING SESSIONS FOR CHILDREN | 13 August, Coles Lane.

From on-street games to children's entertainment, join us from 11am to 2pm for an inspiring literary experience where every page opens the door to imagination, connection and discovery.

SUMMER IN DUBLIN MAIN STREET MARKET | 15 & 22 August, Upper O'Connell Street.

Sample a carefully curated mix of artisan traders, local food producers, live acoustic entertainment, family activities and cultural experiences right on Dublin’s main street from 12pm to 5pm!

There’s also a chance to catch this year’s series of FREE fashion, food & lifestyles shows on O’Connell St & Suffolk St!

Running in collaboration with DublinTown, shows will feature live music, beauty showcases, trend-led fashion collections, and plenty of style inspiration too. Promising something for everyone, the events are open to all ages and offer a fun, welcoming atmosphere for families, friends, shoppers, and visitors to come together and celebrate fashion, beauty, and community in the heart of Dublin city.
