A reflective and personal one-man play, exploring themes of coming-of-age and loss, through live music and immersive storytelling

When a young musician loses his band and with it a personal creative dream, he conjures up a dreamlike space in which he is placed in a live gig situation from his own bedroom. As he plays songs from his band's musical repertoire and interacts with the audience, he starts to re-live the pain of the fallout and becomes increasingly frustrated with this situation he has encountered. It is only through looking back on his journey and receiving a compassionate message from his future self that he reconciles with his grief and walks out into the world ready to live.

Angela Monks McDonagh is an interdisciplinary artist based in Dublin.Angela’s work explores the phenomenological experience of space and place, with focus on the solid spaces within buildings set against the ephemeral nature of our human existence.This work has developed through sculpture, installation and live performance, recording micro histories and temporal traces of human activity.

Natália Carreira is a 29-year-old independent singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Brasília embarkning on her first DIY Eurotour.

Starting her musical career in 2017 with her hit "Geminiana" and EP Pertencer, she defines her music as "MTB" (Música Triste Brasileira) blending MPB, lo-fi, bedroom pop, pop rock, and emocore. Her songs focus on love, heartbreak, and lesbian representation, aiming to build a genuine connection and a sense of belonging with her audience. She has independently produced four tours across Brazil, including her 2025 "ANTIPÁTICA" minitour and her 2026 "CRRR+INOUTZ" joint tour with the band Inoutside. Performing solo, as a duo, or with local bands, her live shows emphasize collaboration with local guest artists.

Archaeologist and museum curator Dr Bernard Gilhooly, will explore some of the artefacts on display in the museum’s Prehistoric Ireland exhibition. 100 Breaths is a site-specific temporary artwork developed for Clarke Square by artist Clodagh Emoe. For almost 300 years, the central parade ground at Collins Barracks, (previously Royal Barracks) was used to perform rigorous military drills, training soldiers to move, think, and act as a single cohesive unit. By coming together at dusk for 100 Breaths can we reclaim this space of authority and invite a time of connection to unfold.

Hen's Teeth is delighted to announce the return of 6 Tracks - their much-loved conversation and performance series - in their Blackpitts venue for a new show event season running monthly from July through November 2026.

Each evening, a musician sits down with hosts Laura Twagirayezu (aka Big Cheeks) or Sally Cinnamon to talk through six tracks - the songs that have shaped their sound, their life, the way they hear the world and how it impacted their craft, followed by a live performance into the evening. Think Tiny Desk meets Desert Island Discs.

14 Henrietta Street presents Teatime Talks, a series of talks inspired by the history and people of 14 Henrietta Street. By listening and engaging with visitors, historians, experts, local people, former tenement residents and their families, we continue to uncover, record and respond to the 300 year story of 14 Henrietta Street.

Our September Teatime Talk is a rehearsed reading of The Snug, a new play in development, written by local playwright and actor Ciara Byrne.

Set against the humming heartbeat of Dublin’s tenements in the 1960s, The Snug follows the life of one woman, a survivor and a regular in the Snug, where she found both escape and community. The Snug shows working class lives in a tender, gritty and unapologetically real way. This rehearsed reading gives audiences an opportunity to experience the work in its early stages.

Hidden Skirts Theatre, founded in 2022, by Ciara Byrne and Anthony Seery are a Dublin based theatre company that make theatre inspired by Dublin city and its people.

Join us to celebrate Art in Motion: Routes and Roots with an evening of original poetry readings by The Poetry Vigilantes, of Dublin 8’s Fatima Groups United, and the award-winning poet, playwright, and performer Dagogo Hart as compère. This community gathering is presented by IMMA in celebration of the collaborative project, Art in Motion: Routes and Roots, a mobile artwork on a Dublin bus that brings creativity to the streets of Dublin. The artwork was created by artist Alberta Whittle and developed in collaboration with poet Dagogo Hart and community writers group The Poetry Vigilantes.

As part of the evening celebration, a selection of videos capturing the Art in Motion project, from the poetry workshops to the final artwork, will be screened on the museum’s large outdoor screen, Living Canvas at IMMA.
