Malahide Castle – Movies on the Lawn

Malahide Castle – Movies on the Lawn

Malahide Castle, Saturday 24th August 2019

Movies on the Lawn is back at Malahide Castle for one more brilliant day out this summer!

Outdoor movie magic with two film screenings. As usual, you can pack a picnic and bring your own snacks to enjoy, or pick up some tasty treats from the food vendors. Don't forget your picnic blanket!

Paddington @ 2.30pm
Paddington tells the story of the comic misadventures of a young, marmalade-obsessed bear who travels to London in search of a home. It looks as though his luck has changed when he is given a safe-haven with the Brown family, but there's a museum taxidermist with very bad intentions on his tail…! This charming and sweet-natured family film is full of wit and fun, with plenty of gags an older audience will love.

Mamma Mia! @ 7.30pm
Over ten years old but still one of the best feel-good romantic musicals out there, Mamma Mia! is two hours of toe-tapping, finger-snapping fun! Featuring the best ABBA hits (Dancing Queen, Super Trooper, Does Your Mother Know, The Winner Takes It All), dust off your flares and your sequined top and get ready for an evening of pure entertainment.

The show will go on regardless of any Irish weather interruptions so please dress for it! Umbrellas are not permitted (they can block the view of the screen) but nice colourful raincoats are encouraged!

SCRAPEFOOT

The Ark

Goldilocks wasn't always blonde! In fact, over time she has morphed from a fox called SCRAPEFOOT into an old hag, and finally into the Goldilocks we know today. What remains the same in each version of the story, is that they each entered a house in the woods (when nobody was home), to feast, sleep and shelter.
