National Botanic Gardens, Saturday 9th March
The Library and Herbarium – Join director of the National Botanic Gardens, Dr Matthew Jebb, who will show visitors some of the remarkable items in the collections.
With over 600,000 pressed plants the herbarium provides a unique and astonishing view into the past. More than just dried plants, these are a vital record of what grew where, and when. Other treasures in the collections include manuscripts, paintings and artefacts from the ethnographic museum.
