Not to learn Irish is to miss the opportunity of understanding what life in this country has meant and could mean in a better future; it is to cut oneself off from ways of being at home.” –Seamus Heaney

Join Úna-Minh Kavanagh for this special Zoom workshop with the Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again exhibition as she guides you through the online resources available to learn Irish. This workshop is suitable for beginners or those who want to brush up on their Irish. It is a chance to upskill and enjoy the Irish language this New Year.
Úna-Minh Kavanagh is a Gaeilgeoir. She’s a journalist and the author of ‘Anseo’- a memoir about growing up in Kerry, the Irish language, identity and racism. In 2017, Úna-Minh won the award for Social Activist of the Year with U Magazine for her initiative, ‘We Are Irish’ and now edits the good news website WeAreIrish.ie.
