Vintage Youth Bealtaine Jam

Online, Monday 24th May

Dance Theatre of Ireland invite you to join Vintage Youth Ensemble for a special screening of two live performance pieces: “Wisdom Moves” is a 30-minute reflection on lasting memories and formative experiences of the performers told through spoken word and movement to beautiful music. “The River of Now” is an inter-generational dance collaboration with the Dublin Youth Dance Company, that crosses the boundaries of age. There will also be a Premiere screening of their most recent project, completed online during lockdown.

Join us afterward for an informal Post-Screening discussion with Members of the Cast and creators.

Vintage Youth Ensemble is Dance Theatre of Ireland's senior performance group, an open group of older adults who came together as an outgrowth of DTI's Well-Dance for Seniors classes. Their desire to delve more deeply into the art of dance and performance led to the group's formation, which has given live theatre performances since 2015, under the direction of Loretta Yurick and Robert Connor, DTI Artistic Directors.

Dance Theatre of Ireland / Vintage Youth are grateful to be funded by The Arts Council, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, The Ireland Funds.
