UCD BLM Town Hall Meeting – Open Discussion for those supporting the Black Lives Matter Campaign in UCD.

The death of George Floyd in the United States has sparked global uproar. We are in the midst of the largest civil rights movement the world has ever seen. At UCDSU, we support the Black Lives Matter protesters in the United States, but it is important to ask, how is racism present in our everyday lives? This Town Hall meeting will focus on racism locally, nationally, and internationally.

  • What are the experiences of Black students on campus?
  • What is Aramark, how does it profit from Direct Provision, and why is it allowed to stay on campus?
  • What is Direct Provision?
  • What global patterns of racism are posing an imminent threat to BIPOC?
