Join Museum Guides for a tour focusing on the history of clothing in Ireland, and in particular, how clothing can be seen as a representation of social change for women in Ireland.

This tour explores how clothing could be used to show status in communities as well as how their clothing could be a symbol of personal freedom and activism.

This tour features objects such as mourning gowns, day dresses and Celtic Revival clothing.

Free, No booking is required. Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis

Dalkey Vintage and Classic Car Festival

Dalkey is gearing up for another choice festival, ahead of Bank Holiday Monday, Monday June 2nd as many of Ireland’s best classic cars are expected to motor into this historic, south Dublin, heritage town for the Dalkey Vintage Festival, 2025. From 11.30am to 6pm, the main street in Dalkey will close to welcome the “who’s who” of classic cars, including Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Triumph and Lancia and there will be music and children’s entertainment throughout the day.
