The Reykjavik Cathedral Choir

The Reykjavik Cathedral Choir from Iceland will be giving a lunchtime recital in St. Ann's Church at Dawson street on June 19th at 13:20. The repertoar includes sacred choir pieces by Icelandic and European composers from the Romantic era to our times. The admission fee of 10 euros will go to the Organ restoration fund of St. Ann's Church. The concert lasts ca 40 minutes.

The Reykjavik Cathedral Choir (Dómkórinn í Reykjavík) is the official choir of the Reykjavik Cathedral in Iceland. It performs at weekly services in the Cathedral, many of which are broadcasted live on the national broadcasting service. The choir frequently gives concerts in Iceland and has commissioned and premiered numerous choir works, both by Icelandic and international composers. It has travelled abroad on several occasions performing music from all over the world, of different genres and ages. The conductor of Reykjavík Cathedral Choir is Lenka Mátéová.
