In a truly magical storytelling event, Oscar Wilde’s classic tale of compassion and kindness comes to life. Watch in amazement as award-winning illustrator Harry Woodgate and award-winning actor Ali Hardiman bring the story of Swallow and the Happy Prince to life through mesmerising live drawing, accompanied by a performed reading.

Full of whimsy, warmth, and colour, Harry’s stunning new adaptation of Wilde’s beloved classic The Happy Prince is tailor made for an immersive storytelling experience that story lovers of all ages can enjoy.

Harry Woodgate is a multi-award-winning author and illustrator, whose debut picture book Grandad’s Camper won the British Book Awards Nibbie for Children’s Illustrated Book of the Year and the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. Their work has also been shortlisted for the V&A Illustration Awards, and the Folio Society Book Illustration Competition twice.

Ali Hardiman is an actor (Wreck; Finding Joy; Assassins) and writer (Electric; The Death of Pablo). She was listed in the Irish Mail on Sunday’s “Ones To Watch in 2023” where she was also featured as “the next Sharon Horgan”. She recently won Best Female Actor at the Dublin International Comedy Film Festival and was nominated for Best Short Film.
