The Cyclone Kid

Merrion Square Park, Monday 25th July - Saturday 13th August

Meet Gabriel – The Cyclone Kid. He used to be the third-best tour guide in Dublin. He could sing, he could dance, he wore a green chequered suit. Did we mention his fluent Irish? He could get you into places you'd never see with anyone else. He was the real deal, climbing to the top of the TripAdvisor mountain. That was before the incident. Before it all fell apart. Now he's a cycle courier and this is his story. Join him as he takes you on a very unofficial tour around Merrion Square Park.

In MERRION SQUARE at 3pm daily – Starting point: the large entrance, Merrion Sq. East, across from the Goethe Institute

MARS

Abbey Theatre

Four astronauts and an AI software interface are cooped up in the cabin of a space-craft for nine months on a mission to Mars. As they journey across the vast abyss of space, tensions rise, relationships are tested, and seasons of Real Housewives are watched and re-watched. Arriving on the red planet, they confront isolation, sinister ideologies, the prospect of alien life, and a vibe shift toward corporate authoritarianism. MARS is an opera about space colonisation, reactionary futurism, pronatalism, the madness of hustle culture, and the unsettling futures encroaching on our present.
