The Ark: Forest of Fun – Online Early Years Dance Workshop for children aged 2-4 and their grown-ups.

Join dance artist Monica Muñoz and discover animals who live in the forest in this joyful online dance workshop. Put on your wellies! We are going on a movement journey to discover who lives in the forest. It's been raining there so it might be muddy! Let's find some busy bugs, sleepy bears, flapping owls and sly foxes. Do they have arms and legs like us? How do they move around? Do they like to hide in the trees? Do they wriggle inside the flowers? Or do they even roll in the mud? We will jump, roll, squash, slide and spin. We will also find out how we can build a simple dance forest landscape using everyday materials in our homes. For this you will need:

  1. A pair of wellies if you have them.
  2. A few woolly jumpers of any kind (forest colours like brown and green are good but any colours you have will be fine).
  3. Paper plates (5 or 6 would be perfect. Maybe you have some left over from a birthday party?)

If you don't have any of these things, don't worry – we can simply use our imaginations instead. This delightful interactive dance workshop invites little ones and their grown-ups to enjoy imagining and moving together. So if you're a parent, grandparent, uncle, aunty, godparent or carer, join us with a 2-4 year old to enjoy the moves of the forest animals from your very own home.
