The 4 Of Us, an iconic Irish rock band, has been a significant presence in the music scene since their formation in the late 1980s. Founded by brothers Brendan and Declan Murphy in Newry, County Down, the band quickly gained acclaim with their debut album “Songs for the Tempted,” which included the hit single “Mary.” This track not only topped the Irish charts but also became an enduring classic.

Over the years, The 4 Of Us have continually evolved, exploring various musical landscapes while maintaining their distinctive melodic and lyrical craftsmanship. Their sound blends rock, folk, and pop influences, characterised by compelling storytelling and rich harmonies. Albums like ‘Man Alive’ and ‘Sugar Island’ showcase their versatility and deep connection to their Irish roots, earning them a loyal fanbase and critical acclaim.

The 13th edition of the Dublin International Piano Competition will take place in Dublin from 9 May to 16 May 2025 The Competition will be in four rounds. The First Round was held online during February 2025. The Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals will be held in the Whyte Recital Hall, Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin, from 9 to 14 May 2025. The Final will consist of concerto performances with Ireland’s National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jonas Alber and will be held in the National Concert Hall, Dublin on Friday 16 May 2025.
