Vicar Street, Tuesday 7th January
Following on from raising almost €40,000 earlier this year, Cherry Comedy have announced a new Stand-Up For Gaza gig at Dublin’s iconic Vicar Street to kick off 2025.
A stacked line up of some of Ireland’s biggest comedy names will take the stage, including Ardal O'Hanlon, Alison Spittle, Shane Daniel Byrne, Tony Cantwell and more with all net proceeds going directly to Medical Aid for Palestine.
Medical Aid for Palestine's vision is a future where all Palestinians can access an effective, sustainable and locally-led system of healthcare, and the full realisation of their rights to health and dignity. Their programmes, designed and delivered by Palestinians, provide access to essential health services and build local knowledge and skills to address Palestinian health problems. In times of humanitarian emergency, we are ready to respond rapidly with aid and assistance.
This gig was made possible by Irish Artists for Palestine, a coalition of artists fundraising to meet the urgent medical and humanitarian needs in Gaza. Alongside the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, Irish Artists for Palestine raise funds through events for Medical Aid Palestine, who have worked for decades providing community healthcare in the region, and the Palestinian Red Crescent’s ambulance crews, who continue to respond to emergency situations despite the targeting & killing of Palestinian paramedics.
