RDS, Sunday 8th March

Rebels and Heroines – A Celebration of Women in Opera marks International Women’s Day with an evening devoted to the fearless, dynamic and unforgettable women of the operatic stage.

In partnership with the Royal Dublin Society, this recital brings together arias that give a voice to defiance, resilience, passion and power: stories of women who challenge convention, claim their destiny and sing their truth.

Featuring acclaimed soprano Jennifer Davis alongside Sarah Richmond mezzo-soprano and Aoife O’Sullivan piano, this concert explores some of opera’s most compelling heroines. From fiery rebels to noble leaders and women caught between love and liberty, Rebels and Heroines celebrates the enduring strength of the female voice in opera, and the women, on stage and beyond, who continue to shape its legacy.
