Skin Tight

The New Theatre, Tuesday 6th August - Saturday 17th August 2019

Restless Ecstasy and The New Theatre present the Dublin Premiere of Skin Tight.

New, dynamic, boundary-pushing theatre company Restless Ecstasy brings the award-winning play by New Zealand's premier playwright – Gary Henderson – to The New Theatre, Temple Bar. Tom and Elizabeth, an ordinary couple with an extraordinary love, relive their darkest secrets, deepest passions and heart-breaking truths. No matter what life has thrown at them, as they live, love, fight, make up, got to war, sell the farm and grow old, so long as they can be together they wouldn't change a thing.

One of New Zealand's most beloved plays, Skin Tight is a moving and magical love story, both passionate and brutal, brought to the stage with Restless Ecstasy's trademark energy, invention and courage. Skin Tight won a Fringe First award in 1994 and has been performed throughout the English-speaking world, including the USA, Canada, the UK and South Africa. This will be both the Dublin premiere and the first time that any New Zealand playwright has received a professional production in the Republic of Ireland.

The Snapper

Gate Theatre

A homegrown hit returns. An unexpected pregnancy. An unknown father. The relationships that matter, and the secrets that don't! The Snapper offers a wickedly funny account of the ups and downs of family life and pregnancy in Northside Dublin of the late 1980's. It is salty and sweet, and the Gate Theatre sits right next door to The Rotunda Hospital where Sharon's baby, The Snapper, is born… In 2018 the Gate Theatre commissioned Roddy Doyle to write a stage version of his much loved Dublin novel The Snapper. This new adaptation played to packed houses in 2018, bringing in new audiences

What remains the same in each version of the story, is that they each entered a house in the woods (when nobody was home), to feast, sleep and shelter. Now it's your turn to explore this enchanting house but beware of the three figures who might
