Due to the circumstances of Covid-19 Silk Road International Film Festival has made the decision to present the 2021 festival edition online.

SRIFF continues its mission to bring audiences and film creatives together to celebrate cinema. We are developing a secure and easy-to-use online experience so that the 9th Silk Road International Film Festival 2021 remains an unmissable event in the national & international film calendar.

The Silk Road International Film Festival programme will continue to be a diverse mix of features, documentaries, animations, shorts and music videos.

Past guests have included world renowned filmmakers such as Director Abel Ferrara (King of New York, Bad Lieutenant, Pasolini, Welcome to New York), Director Béla Tarr (The Turin Horse, Satantango), Cinematographer Vittorio Storaro (Reds, The Last Emperor, Apocalypse Now) and Cinematographer Mahmoud Kalari (A Separation), Editor Tony Kearns (Black Mirror, The End of the F***ing World), Cinematographer PJ Dillon (Vikings, Game of Thrones).

As part of the Brigit: Dublin City Celebrating Women festival, join one of the most celebrated music and theatre ensembles in Ireland, the Armagh Rhymers, for a colourful family friendly performance to mark the start of Spring and learn about the traditions and rituals of Imbolc. Through music, storytelling and drama, the Armagh Rhymers provide an unforgettable experience to celebrate Lá Fhéile Bríde. This event is free. Booking not required, however spaces are limited. St. Brigid’s Day Taster Demonstration

Learn the basics of silversmithing in out taster Demonstration. Join us for our St Brigid’s Day celebration, on Monday February 3rd to take part in our lunchtime taster sessions for the Forge A Ring Workshop at 1pm or 1.30pm. This is a 20 minute demonstration workshop using copper rings, You get to try some traditional goldsmith skills, while learning how to forge a ring. It is a chance to see inside a Jewellery workshop and get hands on trying the techniques on a pre made copper ring.
