Step back in time to Early Medieval Ireland at the National Museum of Ireland! Drop into the Learning Resource Room and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Irish saints like St. Brigid and St. Patrick, along with the lives of the people who shaped this pivotal period in history. In this hands-on workshop, explore replicas of jet crosses from Yorkshire, early medieval leather shoes, and intricate brooches once worn to fasten cloaks and clothing.

Take part in relaxing colouring activities, delve into books about Irish archaeology, and get a closer look at the fascinating replica handling objects that tell the stories of saints, scholars, and scribes. After the workshop, be sure to explore the Museum’s galleries for even more insights into Ireland’s rich past.

Richmond Barracks Summer Solstice Fair

Join us in the heart of Inchicore at Richmond Barracks for our Summer Solstice Fair on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June from 11 am to 5 pm. The Summer Solstice Fair celebrates creativity and sustainability with a focus on upcycling, recycling and reusing. There will be free creative and cultural workshops for all ages.
