Rules of Origin – Webinar

This event has ended

Online, Tuesday 23rd February

How Rules of Origin affect your business to trade to, from or through the UK
Rules of Origin determine where goods originate i.e., not where they have been shipped from, but where they have been produced or manufactured. As such, the ‘origin’ is the ‘economic nationality' of goods traded. The tariff classification, value and origin of a good are determining factors based on which the customs tariff treatment is applied. Rules of Origin form an integral part of the trade and cooperation agreement (TCA) between the EU and UK.

This virtual event will outline the background and the implications of the Rules of Origin for your business. The discussion will cover the issues that exporters and importers face and the implications of the movement of EU and third country originated goods post-Brexit. Carol Lynch from BDO will discuss some solutions that can possibly help to resolve the current challenges.

Guest speaker: Carol Lynch – partner at BDO.

Webinar host: Jonathan Healy – broadcaster, presenter and contributor at Newstalk.
