NCH, Saturday 30th March

Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Pinchas Zukerman, Violin/Conductor – The multi Grammy® Award winner returns to the NCH as Principal Guest Conductor of the RPO who have been described as ‘one of the best and most prestigious symphonic orchestras in the world' – Daily California.

Zukerman remains a phenomenon in the world of classical music; his musical genius, prodigious technique and unwavering artistic standards are a marvel to audiences and critics alike. It is our great pleasure to welcome both orchestra and conductor/soloist, following their 2012 NCH performance, for this eagerly anticipated concert of orchestral classics by Mozart, Vaughan Williams and Elgar. ‘There's no denying Zukerman's legitimate claim as a triple threat. His violin playing is bright and sinuous, his viola playing is rich and soulful, and he conducts with an abundance of spirit' – The San Francisco Chronicle.
