Rebel Women Guided Tour

GPO Museum, Friday 30th January - Saturday 31st January

“Well behaved women seldom make history!”

Join us at the GPO Museum for a guided tour as we honour Brigit, the Celtic Goddess, by celebrating the Irish women who changed Irish history in 1916 and beyond.

On this specially created tour you will meet the women who gave their all to create a new Ireland, where all its children would be cherished equally. Rediscover the lives and voices of the women who fought for their own and Ireland’s independence.

This tour will shine a light on the women who have shaped Irish culture, society, and politics over the past 100 years. Learn about the Suffrage, Labour and Republican movements, the Cultural Revival and the women involved in them.

Booking is essential, as availability is limited. This specially researched tour will last approximately 1 hour and patrons are welcome to enjoy our exhibition after the tour. There are plenty of artefacts, interactive screens, and even a film to explore!

Please note that this tour may not be suitable for children under the age of 12.
