Pygmalion

dlr Mill Theatre, Tuesday 12th November - Saturday 16th November

Rathfarnham Theatre Group are delighted to bring Pygmalion to the dlr Mill Theatre Stage.

When Professor Henry Higgins rises to the challenge of transforming a Cockney flower seller into a lady refined enough to be mistaken for a duchess, he begins to realise that she has a mind of her own and cannot be manipulated as he sees fit. George Bernard Shaw’s humorous and incisive commentary on language and appearance raises complex questions about societal and personal identity, how they define us and how they shape our relationship with the society around us.

Pygmalion is a gloriously witty play, which served as the inspiration for the famous musical “My Fair Lady” and has become a timeless classic which continues to resonate with audiences over a century after it was first performed.

Homesick

The Pearse Centre

Jason emigrated to Perth three weeks and four days ago. Jason returned home from Perth three weeks and three days ago. Unbeknownst to his family, he’s been hiding in his childhood bedroom in Leitrim while fielding their facetime calls and queries about the weather down under. It’s only a matter of time before it all goes tits up. A one-man show about how grief shapes us, fear paralyses us and sometimes emigrating can mean coming home. It’ll all be sound in the end. Won’t it?
