Showcase event for 7 impactful open data projects, tools and applications that encourage and support climate action
About this event
This event will be kicked-off with a short Keynote by Professor John Sweeney: Climatologist and Contributing Author to the 4th Assessment Report which won the Nobel Peace Prize for the IPCC.
Through the Open Data Climate Action Challenge seven participating projects developed tools, analyses, dashboards and applications that use open data to drive and support climate action. These solutions, which address a variety of climate action priority areas, will be presented on the day. They are:
• GoZeroWaste App
• Nature Based Solutions Zoning Map
• Cycling Infrastructure Optimisation Tool
• iAdapt: climate change adaptation game
• Invasive Species Dashboard
• Locating and Optimising use of Remote Working Hubs: online tool
• ‘Energy Calculator': Infographics for Climate Action
