Learn how to up your photography game! This workshop with photography tutor & artist Brian Cregan is packed with tips and resources on how to get the most from your smartphone camera. It includes a live Q&A session so you can get advice on any questions you have.

Brian Cregan is an artist/photographer who explores the potential of photography to represent our relationship with landscape, natural history and the built environment.

Working independently on commissions and assignments, he has successfully collaborated on numerous projects with other artists, curators, educators, designers and architects. His work as an educator is integrated into his practice and often forms the inspiration for new work.

This talk explores the importance of co-curation and community-led approaches in reshaping how Irish Traveller history is represented in national collections. It examines past exclusions, challenges dominant narratives, and highlights efforts to ensure authentic, meaningful inclusion of Traveller heritage in Ireland’s cultural institutions. This talk forms part of the Oak Room Heritage Talk Series, created by Dublin City Council's Heritage Office as an action of the Dublin City Strategic Heritage Plan 2024-2029. It is part-funded by the Heritage Council.
