Matt and Hat as part of Dublin Fringe Festival

This event has ended

Civic Theatre, Wednesday 13th September - Saturday 16th September

Matt is feeling a little… unmotivated. A little… bored. A little… lost. Until the day his grandmother gifts him a brand new cap called Hat! Hat has plans for Matt and together they embark on a journey neither dreamed possible!

This is a cutting-edge audience experience blending motion-capture technology with krump dance choreography and fusing the experience within a theatrical installation.

An interactive VR dance experience for audiences aged 12+ using Meta Quest VR Headsets.

Matt and Hat tells the playful story of how Matt as a young boy discovered the pleasure of creating, and found joy in movement through his hat tricks. It champions the idea that creativity can be found in many different forms, and that with hard work and perseverance, anything is possible.

Presented by Mateusz Szczerek and Ready, Steady, SHOW! The Civic’s ongoing programme of work for children and young people.
