Live Electric – Designing a Low Carbon Future. A major international conference on the future of urban design and electrification.

This Conference, jointly hosted by ESB and the IIEA, will feature a distinguished line-up of international experts on climate leadership, electrification, sustainable design, architecture, city planning and low carbon transport. This unique event will focus on smart and sustainable cities and buildings, and electric transport to show how consumer engagement with emerging technologies will transform the way we live.

Speakers
Carla Cammilla Hjort is the co-founder and director of SPACE10 – a future living lab in Copenhagen – set up in close collaboration with IKEA. Their overall goal is to create opportunities for a better and more sustainable way of living. Carla Cammilla Hjort is a creative and cultural entrepreneur with a deep passion for people, innovative ideas and great design.

Baroness Bryony Worthington is the Executive Director of Environmental Defense Fund Europe. Appointed as a life peer to the British Parliament's House of Lords in 2011, she is a leading expert on climate change policy and carbon trading. She served as the Shadow Minister for Energy and Climate Change in the House of Lords, leading on two Energy Bills for the Shadow Ministerial team. Baroness Worthington was a lead author of the UK's landmark Climate Change Act.

Dieter Helm CBE is a Professor at the University of Oxford and a renowned economist specialising in utilities, infrastructure, regulation and the environment. He was a member of the UK Government's Sustainable Energy Policy Advisory Board from 2002 to 2007, the Prime Minister's Council of Science and Technology from 2004 to 2007, and the DTI's Energy Advisory Panel from 1993 to 2003.
