Laura Belbin: Knee Deep In Life

This event has ended

Liberty Hall Theatre, Saturday 18th November

Dublin are you ready for Laura Belbin? Author and social media sensation Laura Belbin is on a mission to make people laugh. After a sold-out premiere of her new comedy show ‘Knee Deep in Life’ in 2022, Laura is about to embark on a run of shows in 2023.

Knee Deep in Life is the brutally honest take on being that awkward person who says all the wrong things at all the wrong times, what it’s like to be in the weird world of online influencing – and how to not take yourself too seriously.

Laura’s content across social media offers a brilliant antidote to the unrealistic, sugar-coated portrayal of ‘perfect’ motherhood and she is no stranger to going viral. Laura started her channels after chronic post-natal-depression left her with an insatiable desire to make people laugh and reassure those who doubt themselves every single day: the ones who have struggled to accept the way they look; the mums-to-be about to find themselves taking their first step towards parenthood; and the women bossing it like badasses every single day but never getting the credit they deserve. She is a Mum, wife, daughter, sister, friend and that person you avoid eye contact with in the playground.

Laura is the bestselling author of Knee Deep In Life:  Wife, Mother, Realist, Why We’re Already Enough and No Shame: How to Drop the  Guilt.

National Concert Hall

The new all-star trio of Beěla Fleck, harpist Edmar CastanŢeda and drummer Antonio Saěnchez features instrumentation that might safely be called unusual. Unless, of course, you’re already familiar with 19-time Grammy Award winner Fleck — the genre-blurring virtuoso who has done more to expand the possibilities of the banjo than any other player in the instrument’s history. From his bluegrass beginnings through his otherworldly Flecktones, his duo with Chick Corea and his astonishing reimagining of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, Fleck’s work never fails to surprise.
