“Fee, fi, fo, fum! I smell the blood of the kids in Dundrum.”

The Dundrum village dairy is feeling the pinch as rents have skyrocketed and Dame Trott, determined to make ends meet, has set herself up as a Personal Trainer. If posing on treadmills for Insta content was a sport, she would be a winner. Meanwhile, her hapless son Jack, is sent on a mission to sell their prize cow and bestie ,Winnie the Moo. What could possibly go wrong?

Join Jack and Jill, the girl of his dreams, in a zany adventure of magic beans and an enormous beanstalk, as they go on a whirlwind adventure high into the sky. Watch them try to outwit the terrible Stinky Mc Rinky and his side kick, Nuggets the Chicken as the biggest and boldest Giant roars! Packed full of song, dance, audience participation and wonderful characters, the Mill Theatre’s One Hour Pantoi s the perfect Christmas treat to light up the faces of all the ‘smallies’ and a festive introduction to the magic of theatre.

So, hold tight, hang on – there’s a tale to tell,
Of me and the beans and the giant who fell. Buckle up, deep breaths, let’s stop this talk,
This is the tale of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Lots of attitude, a motley crew of supporting characters (all played by star of Father Ted and Fair City Rose Henderson). Kitty takes us with her on a rollercoaster journey to find her lost man. Threading a blurry line between humour and pathos; yearning and farce; belonging and marginalisation, The Good Crank is an exploration of the flip-flop existence of an older woman at odds with the world she has been squeezed into.
