The Grand Canal #Blitzit event is back after a 2 year absense due to Covid

This Thursday 5th May will see over 200 students compete in 15 races at Charlottes Quay Docks for the coveted prize of Grand Canal #Blitzit champion 2022. This year we have a Senior Girls Competition, Senior boys competition and Junior girls competition.

Students will compete from Schools all over Dublin including Presentation Terenure, Sutton Park, Ardgillan, Monkstown and many more. Racing will take place from 10am to 2pm at Charlottes Quay, please come along and cheers them on.

On Friday the 6th of May over 30 companies will take place in the Corporate #Docklands regatta in conjunction with Niall O’Toole and Crew Class

Finally to finish off this amazing festival of rowing on Saturday the 7th May there will be a recreational tour of the Liffey

Ireland return to Dublin for their second home fixture of the 2025 Quilter Nations Series, welcoming Japan to the Aviva Stadium in what promises to be a high-tempo, crowd-pleasing encounter. The Brave Blossoms last visited the Irish capital in 2021, a match remembered not only for Ireland’s dominant 60–5 win, but also for a moment of pure class: Johnny Sexton, celebrating his 100th cap, was presented with a ceremonial samurai sword by Japan captain Pieter Labuschagne—a gesture that captured the spirit of mutual respect between the two rugby cultures.
