Golda Schultz, Soprano Jonathan Ware, Piano ‘This Be Her Verse’

This event has ended

National Concert Hall, Sunday 13th February

South African soprano Golda Schultz is hailed as one of the most talented and versatile young artists on the classical music scene today. With a voice that is ‘distinctively thrilling’ (Financial Times) Schultz garners consistent praise for a fresh, radiant stage personality and lustrous tone – “It’s hard to imagine finer soprano singing than that supplied by Golda Schultz” (The Guardian).

On the occasion of her first visit to Ireland, she brings her new recital programme and the focus of her début CD release, This be her verse, devised with her regular pianist partner Jonathan Ware. Taken from the title of the featured new commission by the exciting voices of Kathleen Tagg and librettist Lila Palmer, This be her verse explores the worlds and inspirations of often neglected female composers and shines the spotlight on the glorious music of Clara Schumann, Emilie Mayer, Rebecca Clarke, Nadia Boulanger and her fellow South African, Kathleen Tagg.
