See a new side to Dublin at Gateway to the City on Dorset Street – Synnott Place showcases history, culture and delicious food as part of the returning festival.
Dorset Street Together proudly presents the return of Gateway to the City, a FREE family event to be held on Sunday, 20 August 2023 in Synnott Place, Dublin 1.

This event is organised by Dorset Street Together, with the support of Dublin City Council, and aims to highlight the culture and historical heritage of Dorset Street by bringing the community together for a special celebration.

The event will take place on Synnott Place and will offer plenty of exciting events and activities such as live musical entertainment, historical walks, a petting farm, vintage carousel, face painting, market stalls and other entertainment.

‘Build for the Boys’ Family 5K

The event is part of the ongoing fundraising campaign to build a future for Conor (Age 9) & Dean (age 8) - two young Lucan brothers who were diagnosed in recent years with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - a rare, muscle wasting, degenerative condition that has no cure. From 11am on April 26th, there will be a 5K Race (Chip timing by www.justrunsevents.ie) followed by a family 5K lap and live entertainment from Ireland's favourite Ukulele band - The Walkeleles!
