Gaelforce 10K Howth Summit

The final event of the Gaelforce 10K Trilogy is city trail running, but not as you know it. You'll run on grassy tracks, rough trails, woodland paths and sealed roads in a looped route right to the top of Howth Summit and back.

Lonely Planet calls this one of its ‘Epic Runs of the World’ and you’ll see why! With two assents of the steep terrain of Howth Hill to conquer, this route will repay the challenge with stunning views over Dublin Bay.

New for 2024, we've added a walkers wave so you can take on this scenic challenge at your own pace.

Starts on O'Connell Street

A new event on the running calendar, the Dublin City Half Marathon, will take place next year on Sunday, 30 March. Dublin Marathon organisers, in partnership with Dublin City Council, have come together to stage the race, which will start on O'Connell Street. The course will take runners out of the north of the city and will finish back in the city centre. ‘Build for the Boys’ Family 5K

The event is part of the ongoing fundraising campaign to build a future for Conor (Age 9) & Dean (age 8) - two young Lucan brothers who were diagnosed in recent years with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - a rare, muscle wasting, degenerative condition that has no cure.
