Christmas ‘Drive-In’ Panto: Peter Pan

This event has ended

Malahide Castle , Friday 11th December - Tuesday 29th December

Ireland's first ever big-screen drive-in panto – The magical tale of Peter Pan, Wendy, and Captain Hook will be on giant screens for Ireland's first-ever drive-in panto on the grounds of Malahide Castle.

Due to the ongoing struggles associated with COVID-19, this year Sammy Sausages and Buffy will be brought to you in a new way, so you and your family can enjoy the show while adhering to government guidelines.

This has been made possible by funding from the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, and the Live Performance Support Scheme.

Starring Alan Hughes, Jake Carter and Johnny Ward and written by Karl Broderick, Peter Pan will wow audiences from December 11 through to January 5.

The Panto is a tradition in so many Irish families, so Alan and Karl are delighted to present Peter Pan in this new way.

Abbey Theatre

Four astronauts and an AI software interface are cooped up in the cabin of a space-craft for nine months on a mission to Mars. As they journey across the vast abyss of space, tensions rise, relationships are tested, and seasons of Real Housewives are watched and re-watched. Arriving on the red planet, they confront isolation, sinister ideologies, the prospect of alien life, and a vibe shift toward corporate authoritarianism. MARS is an opera about space colonisation, reactionary futurism, pronatalism, the madness of hustle culture, and the unsettling futures encroaching on our present.
