Anna’s Anchor is the musical project of Limerick born musician Marty Ryan. Once a solo affair, this ever-evolving musical project now resembles a collaborative community of musicians pushing the envelope of Indie Rock. Since the project’s inception in 2014, Ryan has amassed a loyal audience from playing over 400 shows all around the world in a DIY fashion. 2021’s A Glorious Ruction showed the creative potential of the band with a concept album about the River Shannon that led the group to critical acclaim in Ireland in the U.K. Musically, The band has continued to develop with the release of their latest album in 2023 on Strange Brew Records entitled “ The Merries”. Having made appearances at festivals such as Other Voices, CGIF, 2000 Trees and playing in front of 20,000 Limerick fans at the homecoming of the 2023 All Ireland Winners, there is no signs of slowing down for Anna’s Anchor.
