Smock Alley Theatre, Tuesday 24th September - Saturday 28th September

48 – The lives of four friends are changed forever when they enter the Stardust Nightclub on Dublin's Northside on February 13th, 1981.

The new, lionhearted and savagely funny play 48, by Dublin playwright Gemma Kane, tells the gut-wrenching true story of Kane's parents' escape from the fire, and captures the pulsating youth of 1980's Dublin on the brink of irreparable social change through sharp-tongued narrative and visceral movement, set to the backdrop of a haunting, 80's inspired soundscape by composer Dylan Tonge Jones.

This is a true story.
