St. Brigid’s Cloak (Barnardo Square)
St. Brigid's Cloak is a gentle puppet show inspired by the Irish legend of Brigid, daughter of a chieftain and a Christian slave, who grew to become one of Ireland’s first women saints. Strong, caring, and determined, Brigid devoted her life to helping others and dreamed of creating a monastery where learning, illuminated manuscripts, and metalwork could flourish. Through the magic of her miraculous cloak, she challenges power with compassion. Performed by Julie-Rose McCormick, this enchanting blend of puppetry and storytelling celebrates kindness, generosity, and community, offering young audiences a warm, imaginative journey rooted in Irish tradition.
