Marlay 50 Celebrations

Marlay Park, Saturday 10th May - Saturday 7th June

Marlay Park, one of Dublin’s most cherished public green spaces, is celebrating a major milestone — 50 years in public ownership. To mark this golden anniversary, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is proud to announce a celebration this May & June, packed with nostalgia, entertainment, and community spirit. The park will come alive with a vibrant programme of events designed for all ages, reflecting its evolution from a historic estate into a beloved public treasure.

Highlights of the month long celebration include:

  • Music Nights throughout May Presented by Feile Nasc
  • Movies in the Park: Grab a blanket and enjoy classic family films under the stars in the heart of the park.
  • A 1970s Disco Extravaganza: Step back in time with a boogie-filled Saturday afternoon, complete with retro tunes, flared trousers, and disco lights — a nod to the park’s earliest days in public hands.
  • ‘Marlay Exhibitions’: Discover the fascinating history of the park, with photographs, maps, and artwork.
  • Art, Crafts & Food Stalls: Celebrate community creativity with the Marlay Courtyard Business and enjoy flavours from food vendors in the CoCo Markets
