St. Patrick’s Day Festival Tallaght

This event has ended

Tallaght, Monday 17th March

The first St. Patricks Day Parade in Tallaght took place in 1980 and was organised by the Tallaght Youth Band. The band had made an unsuccessful application for inclusion into the Dublin parade and decided to organise a parade in Tallaght instead.

In the intervening years, The Tallaght Community Council took ownership of the parade and delivered many specular events in Tallaght, bringing the parade on various routes, including the Old
Bawn Road, Greenhills Road, into Tymon and Tallaght Village.

Due to unforeseen circumstances and the pandemic, there has notbeen a parade in Tallaght since 2019 so South Dublin County Council is extremely excited to reintroduce the parade and hope everyone enjoys the St Patricks Day Festival.
