Celebrate St. Brigid’s Day with a special guided tour at the National Museum of Ireland, exploring the artefacts and relics connected to Ireland's patron saints—St. Brigid, St. Patrick, and St. Colmcille—and the profound influence of Christianity on the development of writing. Discover key objects that shed light on the lives of these saints and the early spread of Christianity across Ireland. Learn how the rise of Christian scholarship helped shape the evolution of written language, with a focus on remarkable artefacts like the Fadden More Psalter.

This tour also takes you through the Museum's Treasury exhibition, where you’ll encounter saints' relics and other early medieval treasures, highlighting Ireland's rich heritage of writing, art, and learning.

Please note: The tour is partially wheelchair accessible. Most of the tour takes place on the ground floor, with an option to continue to the first floor.
