Footloose: The Musical

Griffith College, Thursday 28th November - Saturday 30th November

You are all welcome to Trinity Musical Theatre's production of ‘Footloose: The Musical'. Our production team and cast have been working diligently since late September to put on this show for you! Here is a synopsis of our very exciting show…

Footloose the Musical is an adaptation of the 1984 hit film Footloose, which tells the story of Ren McCormack, a teenager who moves from Chicago to the small town of Bomont, where dancing and rock music have been banned. Determined to challenge the town’s oppressive rules, Ren inspires his classmates to fight for their right to dance, leading to a showdown with the town’s conservative leaders.
The musical with a high-energy score featuring songs like “Footloose”, “Holding Out for a Hero” and “Let’s Hear It For the Boy”, captures the spirit of youth rebellion and the joy of dancing. Since its stage debut in 1998, Footloose has become a beloved production known for its dynamic choreography, memorable music, and timeless themes of freedom and self-expression.
