The gal who both ‘Galway Girl’ songs are written about, Amy Walsh, is debuting her first solo stand up comedy show in Ireland!

After starting her comedy career in Ireland in 2018, Amy set off to Vancouver to see why so many Irish people had fled there.

Amy has toured all over Canada, Ireland and the UK. She has previously opened for Dave Merheje, Julie Kim, Shane Todd, Owen Colgan and Adrienne Iapalucci. She has featured in numerous festivals such as Just For Laughs Vancouver, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Electric Picnic, Galway Comedy Festival, Bray Comedy Festival, Groove in the Wild and is set to feature at All Together Now Festival and to open for Kyla Cobbler this Autumn. Amy runs her own monthly dog friendly comedy show ‘Big Dog Energy' to sold out audiences across Canada.

Amy's highly anticipated show promises to deliver a fresh, hilarious perspective on Irishness abroad, life, mental health, love, and the absurdities of modern living.

Opera in the Open

Wood Quay Amphitheatre

Opera in the Open is an initiative of Dublin City Council that presents live performances of operatic work in the open air in Dublin City Centre. The annual opera season is taking place on 7, 14, 21 & 28 August in the Amphitheatre at the Dublin City Council Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8.
