The Complex, Saturday 2nd December

UMAKOKO Dance Company proudly presents the highly anticipated second edition of the live dance show, WAVE. This unique and extraordinary performance promises to push the boundaries of artistic expression, showcasing the evolution of a vibrant, talented and diverse creative dance community in Ireland. Funded by Dublin City Council, WAVE – Another One! will take place on the 2nd of December at The Complex.

This edition of WAVE reunites talents currently living in Dublin but from different parts of the globe: Nigeria, Ireland, Brazil, South Africa, Somalia, Congo, Brazil, Ghana, China, Korea, Poland, Zimbabwe, India, Ethiopia, Uganda, Cameroon, Angola, and dancers from many other diverse backgrounds and style, showcasing the strength of these cultures through the universal language of dance. Some of the dance groups invited to perform at WAVE this year are Southside Moves, Ethereal Danza, Quilombo Terra, Fly Dance Studio and RAW Edge Dance Crew.

WAVE is a mesmerising amalgamation of light, music, storytelling, and movement. It has earned acclaim for its ability to captivate and enchant audiences, offering a unique and thrilling exploration of the evolution of dance and music
