Summer In Dublin: FREE Family Fun on Sundays

DublinTown in partnership with Dublin City Council are organising a series of 4 free family fun on street activations called Summer in Dublin 2023. Each Sunday from July 23rd to August 13th these activations will create a positive experience for families to enjoy together in the city centre.

Summer in Dublin will bring some free fun to the streets of the city centre, keeping families busy & entertained as they shop, socialize, and take in some of the culture that only Dublin city centre can offer. Each day the public can enjoy local business stalls, face painting, giant board games, costumed characters, arts & crafts and music through live radio broadcast by Dublin’s FM104. In addition to this, families can enjoy a free outdoor movie screening on Sunday 6th of August on Capel Street.

All activities will be free.

The activation will take place on Sunday afternoon 1pm-5pm and on a different street each week, on both North & South side of the city. The first Sunday date and location is, July 23rd on Suffolk Street D2, followed by July 30th on North Earl Street D1, then Aug 6th on Capel Street D1 (will include a special free outdoor movie screening on this Sunday) and then finally Aug 13th on South King Street D2.

Dublin city centre is a great place to spend a weekend afternoon, and Summer in Dublin will aim to encourage families to experience this. Dublin city centre is full of cultural activities, excellent choice of shops and the best places to grab a bite to eat.

Culture Date with Dublin 8 is a neighbourhood initiative, which aims to celebrate Dublin 8’s rich cultural, historical and architectural heritage while encouraging people who are living, working and visiting the area to explore what is on their doorstep.
